Collaboration

I like the idea of having a collaborative document, but I think that this forum is a good place for discussing, and we would only use a collaborative document when we were actually writing the code, or had something we are actually going to put into the program. The forum is more of like brainstorming, as far as I can tell right now. I think making a collaborative document at this point would only complicate things, because it puts everything in 2 places.

Duplicating content

I agree that the discussion is best in a forum like this. But one of the first things I was thinking of is the database schema. There is a risk in duplicating content, but if we actively use each tool for what it's meant for (i.e., thanks Nick for telling us to keep creating more topics), then each portion of work should only be in one of the tools, not duplicated over both. Perhaps more soon on the database schema, in a new topic. :)

Drupal Wiki Module

I don't know if this is any good but I found this:

The Trac Project

When we do end up getting the code and documentation going, the Trac Open Source web app is designed for keeping track of developing software and collaborating on projects. It would be ideal for what we need, and is already being used by some great open source projects (like Adium and many others).

Yeah, Definitely

Abe,

I'm not sure exactly how it's all going to happen. Jeremy does have access to the server and has mentioned interest in setting up a subversion repository. They will probably set up Trac if it works with the software. Also, Drupal has a basic module for getting the latest versions of software so part of it may be run through there. I'm confident that we will have some sort of web management interface once the project repository is launched.
